WRITING IN 190

Bio 190 -- organismal biology -- is the first of three core biology classes required for the major. Traditionally, writing has not been a large component of this class, but recently, writing has begun to be more integrated into the lab curriculum.

This semester, students are writing short results statements, table captions, figure legends, learning how to report statistics, and starting to read scientific literature. This will hopefully better prepare them for the second and third core classes.
